HOMEMADE TOMATO SOUP 9-30-97 Top of page
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup chopped onion
1 carrot, grated
1 cup chopped green pepper
1/4 cup butter
Combine and sauté.
Peel 6-8 tomatoes and cut into chunks.
Boil:
4 1/2 cups chicken broth
1 tsp. curry powder
4 tsps. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
Cook to boiling. Add to sautéed vegetables. Add 4 tsps. flour and 1/2 cup water to thicken. Serve with croutons or rice.
